Complaints 

Brady Solicitors is committed to providing a high quality service which deals with all our clients fairly and consistently. We acknowledge that we may not always get it right so if something has gone wrong, we need you to tell us. 

If you have a complaint relating to an instruction or advice we have carried out for you then you can contact us in writing to our Complaints Officer by email on experience@bradysolicitors.com
 

To help us to fully understand your complaint, please tell us: 

  • your full name and contact details 
  • what you think we have got wrong 
  • what you hope to achieve as a result of your complaint, and 
  • your file reference number (Usually in the format AB/12345.001) 

If you are unhappy with the outcome of our complaints handling procedure which is available here  please let us know in the first instance and we will review the matter. If you are still unhappy and you are a client of Brady Solicitors you can ask the Legal Ombudsman to look into your complaint. 

The Legal Ombudsman can help you if we are unable to resolve your complaint ourselves. They will look at your complaint independently and it will not affect how we handle your case. 

Before accepting a complaint for investigation, the Legal Ombudsman will check that you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first. If you have, then you must take your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman: 

  • Within six months of receiving a final response to your complaint 

and 

  • No more than one year from the date of act/omission; or 
  • No more than one year from when you should reasonably have known there was cause for complaint.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority can help if you are concerned about our behaviour. This could be for treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or other characteristic or things like dishonesty, taking or losing your money.

Non-client Grievances

Responding to complaints from individuals or entities who are not clients of our firm is not mandated by regulatory authorities. If we do happen to receive a complaint from a non-client, we will handle it judiciously, taking into consideration the following principles: 

Brady Solicitors is under no legal or regulatory duty to address the concerns raised by non-clients, and consequently, we are not obliged to provide commentary on the merits of such grievances. 

Brady Solicitors’ approach will align with our professional responsibilities and regulatory obligations when addressing allegations of professional misconduct. 

Should we choose to respond to your grievance, our communication will be in written form via email or letter. We may also recommend that you seek independent legal advice.
