Meet Rachel Thompson- People and Culture Director

Rachel joined Brady Solicitors in 2022 as Head of Talent and HR, stepping into a role that quickly became a catalyst for her own development. Being part of a supportive, forward-thinking and rapidly growing business has given her the opportunity to stretch her capabilities, drive meaningful change, and grow both personally and professionally. This journey has since led to her appointment as People and Culture Director.

Rachel’s HR career began in People Resourcing, where she developed expertise in 360-degree recruitment before moving into wider generalist roles across both public and private sector organisations. With a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in HRM, combined with experience in both small and large businesses, complex environments, Rachel brings a strong commercial mindset to the People and Culture function at Bradys.

Rachel specialises in all aspects of Talent Acquisition and Development, bringing a commercial mindset and practical experience to every project. She focuses on creating environments where engagement, wellbeing, and high performance go hand in hand. Her key areas of expertise include:

What Rachel brings to the team

Reflecting on her role at Bradys, Rachel says:

For me, People and Culture isn’t just about policies or processes—it’s about enabling individuals to bring their best selves to the workplace. I aim to be a sounding board, a problem-solver and an advocate for our teams, helping to ensure that everyone feels heard, supported and equipped to grow.”

A bit more about Rachel

Outside of work, Rachel is a regular at the gym, whether she’s powering through a spin class, lifting weights or embracing her newfound love of Reformer Pilates. Travel is another big passion, and she’s known for her long-haul adventures, with recent trips taking her to Texas, Thailand, Iceland and the Champagne region. If you’re ever looking for advice on how to make the most of your annual leave, Rachel is the person to ask.

She’s also a dedicated live music fan, attending as many gigs as she can. And when it comes to sport, Rachel has developed a strong interest in the NFL, proudly supporting the Dallas Cowboys (despite her husband being a Washington Commanders fan).
