At Brady Solicitors, growth isn’t just about numbers, it’s about people, leadership and the standards we set for ourselves and our clients. As the firm continues to expand, attracting experienced professionals who share our values is key. That is why we are delighted to welcome Rebekah Petrillo, who recently joined Bradys as one of our Lead Solicitors in our Service Charge Team.
Rebekah’s arrival reflects our commitment to strengthening our teams with the right expertise, and maintaining the client‑first approach that underpins everything we do. We sat down with her to talk about her first impressions, her role, and what excites her about the future at Brady Solicitors.
What attracted you to join Bradys?
What really stood out was that it isn’t a huge corporate machine. People genuinely matter here, both internally and externally, and that’s something I value hugely.
First impressions?
Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I was struck by how open the firm is about its performance and future goals, nothing feels hidden. There’s a genuine sense that everyone works together towards shared objectives, which creates a really supportive environment to learn and grow.
I also appreciated the personal touches. Rachel took me for a walk around Nottingham to help me get my bearings, which meant a lot as I’m not from the area. And along the way, I found the most unreal Thai restaurant… which I’ve already been back to twice!
Leading the Service Charge Team
What does your role look like?
My roles is to ensure the smooth progression of files and supporting paralegals whenever they need supervision or guidance. On a typical day, I review files at key milestones to make sure everything is on track, resolve any challenges the team is facing, and encourage everyone to meet, and exceed, their individual targets.
I’m really looking forward to helping the team grow and continuing my own professional development alongside them.
Any standout achievements so far?
I’m proud of the immediate impact I’ve been able to make. We focused on tightening processes and momentum, and as a result, we absolutely smashed our quarterly claims target. I believe it may even have been a record quarter for claims issued, which speaks volumes about the team’s capability when supported and aligned.
Culture, Support, Teamwork
How would you describe the culture at Bradys?
Extremely positive, encouraging and supportive. There’s always someone willing to help, and no question is ever dismissed. That openness creates confidence and momentum.
I also really value the way hard work is recognised. The quarterly meetings don’t just celebrate team performance, they also highlight individuals who go above and beyond, which makes a big difference.
What do you enjoy most about leading your team?
They’re incredibly hardworking and committed. I’m enjoying learning how best to motivate and support them so they can reach their full potential. I always want to be a leader who’s approachable, supportive and involved, and Bradys is a great environment for that style of leadership.
Learning Curve and Momentum
Highlights so far?
Reaching target and pushing myself to deliver the best for our clients. It was satisfying to prove my abilities and see that effort really does pay off here. I’ve also enjoyed getting to know the wider team, the relationships you build matter just as much as the results.
Any challenges?
There have been matter types I hadn’t dealt with previously, so I had to learn quickly. That was made easier through strong team support and a willingness to put the work in. The pace here is fast, you’re never bored, but that means your learning accelerates too.
Looking Ahead
What excites you about the next 6-12 months?
Helping my team develop and achieve their potential, and playing an active role in the firm’s continued growth.
How do you see your role evolving?
I hope to support the expansion of the service charge team by welcoming more paralegals, driving even greater success, and helping younger team members gain valuable experience they can carry throughout their careers, while continuing to hit my own targets.
What are you working towards?
Growing with the business, building deeper expertise and taking on more responsibility over time. I’m keen to show the wider legal world just how much Brady Solicitors can achieve.
Three words to describe Bradys?
Exciting. Rewarding. Fulfilling.
Your advice to someone thinking of joining Bradys?
Go for it. I you want a role in a firm that genuinely values its people, is growing rapidly and constantly evolving, Bradys is the place to be. When challenges arise, you’re supported and encouraged, I’d recommend it to anyone.
