At Brady Solicitors, we are proud to build an environment where people can grow quickly, deepen their expertise, and build long-term careers. This month, we’re celebrating an important milestone: five years at Bradys for solicitor Zaynah Younis, whose journey reflects exactly the kind of opportunity, support and progression we strive to offer.
From joining as a part‑time paralegal while studying for her LPC, to qualifying as a solicitor in December 2023 and becoming a key member of our litigation team, Zaynah’s path is a testament to what can be achieved when talent meets the right environment.
Brady Beginnings
Balancing her studies with her role, she quickly became known for her exceptional organisation and time management, strengths that set the foundation for her future as a litigator.
Her progress was swift. In November 2021, Zaynah embarked on the next stage of her career having been given the opportunity to become a trainee solicitor. This journey took her onto her training contract in the litigation department, where she supported managing agent and RMC clients across a wide range of leasehold disputes.
What does your role look like now?
From the beginning of her training contract, Zaynah handled her own caseload under the guidance of Associate Director Jeremy Weaver. Weekly team meetings, daily conversations and hands‑on supervision gave her a strong foundation in leasehold litigation.
During this time, she dealt with:
- Lease breaches
- Service charge disputes
- Complex lease interpretation queries
- Client-focused advisory work
Her work also included supporting on a significant commercial service charge dispute at a large mixed‑use estate in Canary Wharf, broadening her exposure to high‑stakes, multi-layered matters.
Reflecting on her development, Zaynah shares: As a trainee in the litigation team, Zaynah was soon managing her own caseload under the guidance of associate director Jeremy Weaver. Weekly team meetings, daily collaboration, and close supervision helped her build a strong grounding in leasehold litigation.
She handled matters including:
- Lease breaches
- Service charge disputes
- Business‑critical lease interpretation queries
- Client advisory work
She also assisted on a complex commercial service charge dispute at a major mixed‑use estate in Canary Wharf, adding high-value, multi-faceted work to her experience early on.
Seeking to broaden her exposure to litigation and the civil court process, Zaynah later moved to the Defences and Dispute Resolution (DDR) team, where she handled defended service charge litigation. Here, she juggled hearing dates, procedural deadlines and civil procedure compliance, supported by her supervisor and department head.
Reflecting on this part of her journey, she shares:
“Working in the DDR team really helped me understand clients’ aims and what they’re looking to achieve. Managing multiple files for the same clients allowed me to build strong, trusted relationships. I feel more like a partner to their business.”
After strengthening her skills in defended litigation, Zaynah returned to the litigation department, continuing to develop her technical knowledge and client-handling skills.
In December 2023, she qualified as a solicitor, a milestone that reflects her hard work, resilience and the depth of experience gained throughout her training contract.

What is it like working at Brady?
Zaynah describes Brady Solicitors as:
“Friendly, fun and a fast‑growth workplace. Even in the two years I’ve been here I’ve seen substantial changes as the firm moves forward. It’s exciting to play a part in that, and I feel very supported.”
She highlights the benefits of hands on training and responsibility:
“Running my own cases has given me so much experience so quickly. While it has felt daunting at times, I’ve never been on my own — support has always been accessible.”
An like many of our team, she values the hybrid working structure:
“I like the mix of working from home and in the office. Some days I get my head down; other days I catch up with colleagues, and being in the city centre is great for keeping my shoe collection stocked!”
Why did you choose Brady Solicitors?
Zaynah was drawn to Brady Solicitors because of our specialist focus on property management law, offering the chance to build expertise in a niche area.
“I wanted to qualify in a specialist area where I could develop deep knowledge. I was also attracted to the firm’s values and close‑knit culture. From day one, everyone has been approachable and willing to share their knowledge. That support has shaped me into a solicitor.”
What keeps you at Bradys?
For Zaynah, it is the mix of high quality work and a supportive environment:
“The variety and complexity of the work keeps me learning every day. I work on small claims, fast-track and multi-track matters in the County Court, and increasingly more complex issues before the First-tier Tribunal. That mix has massively broadened my skills, particularly with guidance from more experienced colleagues.”
