Open communication secures recovery of substantial service charge arrears

A property management client passed to us a long-standing case involving service charge arrears in excess of £20,000 together with considerable interest and legal costs. The previous solicitors had hit a brick wall, the arrears were denting our client’s ability to manage the estate, and the leaseholder was being increasingly tricky, with scant regard for Court orders.
